3rd Annual Leonard H. Opperman Roundtable

For the 3rd year in a row, Hamernik LLC sponsored and participated in the 3rd Annual Leonard H. Opperman Roundtable on Thursday, September 10, presented by the Indianapolis Bar Association. 

The Roundtable was attended principally by attorneys in commercial and bankruptcy law practice.  Hamernik represented one of 3 non-attorney participants.  Those attending the event had the opportunity to interact and get perspective from the two visiting judges that served on the panel this year: the Honorable William R. Sawyer, United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Alabama; and the Honorable Thomas H. Fulton, United States Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Kentucky.

The purpose of the Roundtable was to present and discuss current issues encountered in everyday bankruptcy practice, including topics on Individual Chapter 11s, Recovery by Unsecured Creditors, Section 363 Sales, Real Estate Bankruptcy Filings, Ethics and Federal Tax Liens.   Conference attendees were Stefania Holland (sholland@hamernik.com) and Kevin Hamernik (kjhamernik@hamernik.com) who presented and discussed trends that our Firm is currently experiencing, as well as issues arising in recent engagements.
