
Kevin J. Hamernik, CPA, CIRA has facilitated numerous negotiations and resolved millions of
dollars in disputes. Mr. Hamernik's practice has focused on out-of-court restructurings and
turnarounds. Mr. Hamernik has served as the company's consultant and advisor, the company's
Chief Restructuring Officer, the bank's advisor and as a state court appointed receiver. Mr.
Hamernik has extensive bankruptcy experience supporting debtor clients and counsel in
preparing for, operating in and exiting bankruptcy. He has participated in both buy and sell-side
business transactions and has unique experience in arranging troubled corporate debt and
refinancings. He has provided expert testimony and reports in both civil and bankruptcy
proceedings and has practiced before the Internal Revenue Service in settling outstanding
liabilities and trust fund taxes for corporate officers. Kevin has spoken at both private and
educational seminars and university classes on insolvency, turnaround and related topics and
been published in national trade journals. Mr. Hamernik is a member of the AICPA, Indiana CPA
Society, Indiana Association for Corporate Renewal (IACR) and Association of Insolvency and
Restructuring Advisors. He serves or has served on several boards including the Indiana CPA
Society and the IACR, which he co-founded. Mr. Hamernik was formerly a manager in the
Chicago office of KPMG and received his Bachelors in Accounting from Indiana University.
